December 11th: Be Agreeable
“Agree with thine adversary quickly, whilst thou art in the way with him…” (Matthew 5:25). The Lord warns us that we should be agreeable even with our enemies. What better time of year than the Christmas season to begin following the counsel of Jesus Christ? Use this day to be agreeable with your friends, family and even with your enemies. Remember that being agreeable is not the same as being kind (that’s not to say that we don’t want you to be kind, only that it isn’t the same thing as being agreeable.) To be agreeable, listen to others and find something in what they say that you can agree with then verbally agree with them. It really is as simple as that. Try today being agreeable with everyone you meet but most especially with your family and friends.
