Health and Wellness Groups

In our health and wellness groups we teach awareness of our bodies and our environment, and how to use that awareness to make lifelong changes that will enable healthy and happy lives for group members. This is not a diet plan, but a lifestyle change. We use small and simple changes over long periods of time to create big health benefits.

Addiction Recovery Groups

Understanding the seemingly unimportant decisions we make on a regular basis that lead us into one or more of the dangerous situations that make us vulnerable to relapse is one of the focuses of our recovery groups. We learn together how the “5 fundamentals” can mitigate the temptations to relapse, and we become aware of our own triggers, both internal and environmental.

Youth Support Groups

Youth in our world today face a number of challenges that can lead to real trauma, pain, loneliness, etc. Our support groups for youth are geared to help youth talk about their personal challenges and to support them as they seek to overcome them and live a healthy and happy life. We will offer teens the tools and skills they need to navigate a tough world and group members will give them support and validation for the reality of their life challenges.

Youth group dates and times will be determined by the needs of the youth in our community and their families.

Youth Mental Health Groups

Mental health is a serious challenge for our youth and many of them have nowhere to turn for help and support. We are creating youth groups to give these youth who are struggling with mental health issues a safe place to turn for help. In our groups we will teach the youth tools and skills to overcome mental health issues and to lead them to a healthy life. The group members will support each other’s life experiences and validate their personal struggles.

Parents of children with autism Support Group

Parenting is a difficult struggle and when children have unique challenges like autism the task of good parenting can feel overwhelming. This is particularly true when there aren’t proper support systems within the community to help with this unique challenge. Our support group brings parents of autistics children together to create support and a sense of community. You don’t have to go it alone.

Learning to love your spouse

Living together can create some challenges. Most of us when we first start dating are excited and being together is fun. However, once we are living together we begin to find things we never noticed before. Sometimes we get bored, frustrated, or even resentful and bitter toward our spouse. This group will help you to learn how to love your spouse even in difficult and trying times in your marriage.

Book of Mormon teachings about marriage

For members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and others who want to learn more about what God teaches us about marriage we are running this group. We will be reading passages from the Book of Mormon and identifying the teachings that God wants us to know about how to be a good spouse and how to be married in God’s way.
